12:36 PM ET 11.20 | Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin acknowledged that quarterback Byron Leftwich suffered multiple rib fractures in Sunday night's loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Leftwich hasn't been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns but the Steelers are working out a couple of free agent quarterbacks this week, including Mike Kafka and Brian Hoyer. Charlie Batch is the third string quarterback, who would be in line to start if Leftwich can't go.

Sounds like the Steelers should be working out a couple of free agent offensive linemen as well, now that their top two qbs are out with broken ribs and assorted sack-related ailments.

Decastro and Gilbert are back at practice this week. That's not a bad thing, if they are healthy enough to get a few reps against Cleveland.

But really the line has been playing pretty well. Injuries happen.
