04:29 PM ET 11.20 | As Tennessee and Arkansas fans continue the great Jon Gruden watch of 2012, one Fayetteville TV station is reporting it's unlikely the Hogs will land him. The station is also reporting the school's made an offer, however. Gruden hasn't coached in four years and has never held an actual coaching job at the college level, but remains a constant presence in college rumor circles.

Nope

an agreement was reached last tuesday... and given harts statements it has to fit this:

1. Head coaching experience
2. Winning Past
3. No Baggage
4. Money is not an issue, a lot is to be spent

Where is Hart getting all this cash? Are the payments to prior coaches all done now?

Between Thunder and jimmy they can set Gruden up for life and not even know the money is gone

I'm still not buying it.....never did. IF he wants to give up his easy $10 mill a year job to coach, it will be in the NFL not SEC.

If I'm wrong, I'll own up, hope you do to.....NO WAY Gruden is the next coach at Arky or Tenn

He dosent get 10m at espn...

his wifes family all live 20 min from ktown... I dont know I just cant see who else it is.... If its not Gruden/Jimbo/Patterson then Hart is fired...

November 20, 2012  05:54 PM ET

the fact that tenn fans are so convinced Gruden would even consider them makes this even more fun

(same offer as WPS, I'll own up if I'm wrong - but I'm not)

ROTFLMAO! Any married man knows this is not a selling point.

not trying to be an **** though, I do hope UTk gets someone to turn them around. Seasons like these past couple are just flat embarassing. I just think Gruden is that go-to name that everyone dreams about when looking for a new coach. Seems like his name is always thrown around. But maybe he does have an interest in coaching a college team.......

Is there a massive shortage of available head coaches for college football? Or is it just one of the hardest jobs in the Country to hang on to.

Gruden will be at ESPN next year, either Gary Patterson or Charlie Strong will be at Arky and either Jimbo Fisher, Bob Stoops or Jim Mora will be at UTK.

Gruden will be happy because he can sit back and talk about football and make tons of money, Arky and Tenn will be happy because they didn't pay 8 mil per year to a coach.
