Cards consider coaching changes

08:03 AM ET 11.21 | Losings seasons in the NFL lead to change -- it's just a matter of degree. The Cardinals are 4-6, have lost six consecutive games, and appear headed toward an off-season full of change. Maybe they can salvage this season, as they did last year, by finishing strongly, but there are no indications they are capable of that. Instead, it appears team President Michael Bidwill, General Manager Rod Graves and coach Ken Whisenhunt will be facing major decisions that have nothing to do with the roster. ... Whisenhunt, with possible encouragement from Bidwill and Graves, could make major changes in his offensive staff. He could fire [Mike Miller] and maybe line coach Russ Grimm.

Whisenhunt is safe? OK.

If they do, they do........ If they don't, they don't...........

I think they are looking at the wrong people to fire. They need to look at the people responsible for the trade of number 4 and their bad draft picks.

HC has that laid-back attitude that mike work for BB Coach Phil Jackson, but Jackson, regardless of talent is a winner, Whis has a losing record. Players like him, but so what they aren't motivated enough, and the QB sitituation has been bad since Warner left.

I doubt he gets fired but if in fact he does, the list of suitors will be very long!

Hire Joe Jacoby for the defense; then bring in Marty Shotandfired...

Wisenhunt and Grimm are a pair, he will never fire Russ

What if pressured to do so, to save his own job?

The first step would be to realize that the Bidwills and Graves are the problem and they are the ones that need to go.

Yes. He took the Cardinals to a Super Bowl on Kurt Warner's back. To the idiot Bidwills, this makes him a coaching genius, and I have no doubt that he is safe for a few more years.

They do go hand-in-hand... Don't they?

Wisenhunt is a dim wit whose coaching ability is all hype and no substance. The sooner Bidwill recognizes this, the sooner the Cardinals will return to contention.

Yep......

I'm checking the calendar...

Yup, I knew it! All this lame chatter about replacing NFL head coaches if they don't make the playoffs can only mean it's Thanksgiving.

I hear Andy Reid is available..............

Whisenhunt should be safe. Good leader. In 6 years, 2 first-place finishes in NFC West, 2 playoff appearances, 1 superbowl appearance. Always has a solid Defense.
