USC backup guarantees win over Irish

08:17 AM ET 11.21 | It didn't take USC redshirt freshman quarterback Max Wittek long to find the bulletin board. [Wittek] is confident the Trojans will take down No. 1 Notre Dame on Saturday night. In an interview on 710 ESPN Radio in Los Angeles, Wittek expressed confidence in his abilities -- and trust in head coach Lane Kiffin leading into the showdown against Notre Dame. "If he wants to air it out, let's air it out," Wittek said of Kiffin. "If he wants to pound it on the ground, let's do that. I'm gonna go out there, I'm gonna play within myself, within the system, and we're gonna win this ballgame." Smiling big in front of a pack of two dozen reporters after the Trojans' first practice of the week on Tuesday, Wittek also proclaimed himself ready to go.

before the season i said only either wvu or socal had a shot at dethroning the SEC.....i was clearly wrong in that prediction. nd wins. but could you imagine though if nd lost and the top 3 were once again sec teams. chances on alabama beating uga then playing uf for the nt? about the same as ala playing lsu in the rematch last year. so GO NOTRE DAME!!!!
