Bray's final game at Tennessee?

08:19 AM ET 11.21 | Tennessee may wind up having to replace more than its head coach in time for the 2013 season. When Tennessee quarterback Tyler Bray walks onto the field at Neyland Stadium on Saturday, will it be his last game as a Vol? That same question could be asked of other juniors, like receivers Justin Hunter and Cordarrelle Patterson, who will also have a chance to leave early for the NFL. But for Bray, the question is more intriguing because of the muddled legacy he would leave at Tennessee. "We play Kentucky on Saturday," Bray said to the first of three questions that tried to get a read on his future. "That's all I'm worried about." Could Tennessee's new coach affect his NFL plans? "We've got Kentucky," Bray said. "That's all I'm going to say."

Hunter/Patterson are both pro ready and 'grade challenged' so will probably go. Bray is neither, his decision making is woeful, and he is very immature to boot. Plus its hard to figure how a pro team would evaluate him after the past year anyway. My guess is that he'll check out his draft rating, see who the new coach will be and then make his decision.

Seems to be more of a media speculation story than anything else. The kid said the right thing, didn't take the so-called reporters bait. Stupid reporter wrote what he wanted anyway.

I don't know if they are pro ready, more like pro talented.
Patterson is "grade challenged", but is a horrible route runner.
Hunter has a young son, that's his motivation. Hunter also has the million $ insurance policy payments hanging over his head. Hunter's stock has dropped to mid rounds because he is scared to get hit.

Justin Worley and Nathan Peterman are the back-ups. Worley and Patterson were high school teammates and that helped get Patterson to UT from JUCO.
If it wasn't for the grades, I could see Patterson staying next year. He would be the featured WR.

He may not be ready, but it might be in his best interest to go. Other than Geno Smith, no other QB is guaranteed to go in the 1st round. Barkley likely will, but he has had a bad year and might slip considerably. Tyler Wilson likely played himself into the 2nd round. Bray could be the 2nd QB taken this year.

Even though I'm a retired educator, it's hard for me to think a kid should stay in school if they have a shot at the NFL $$$$ even for a short time...and even at the league minimums.
However, if they are not smart or educated enough to rat hole a lot of that money then they need to be in school. And many, many of them blow it and then end up broke/homeless in a few years.

Bray needs another year. AJ needs another year. I'd say Murray probably needs another year. I think Murray is probably the most ready for the NFL, but he needs some polishing as well. The first play from scrimmage of the UF game, he fails to identify the blitz that wasn't even coming from his blind side.

Apparently, none of you lazy azzzzes read anything but the headline. The kid said the only thing he was focused on was the game against Kentucky.

DS, I know Bray said "that he was focused on was the game against Kentucky", but IMO, he doesn't want to stay in school, I don't think he has the desire to stay at Tennessee. Just my opionion.
