The most pivotal day yet

08:23 AM ET 11.21 | Just how much thanks will NHL players be giving on Thursday? NHL players clearly understood that winning was no longer an option. This was not an even playing field. The best they could hope for was to fight as aggressively as they could to hang onto as much as they could. [Wednesday] will be the most pivotal day in these negotiations because the NHL Players' Association is at the point where executive director Donald Fehr and players probably can negotiate their best deal without risking a financial Armageddon. ... If true negotiations don't start now, we are in danger of losing another season. Players have been talking as if they are willing to accept a 50-50 split, but they have been dancing around the edges of that move.

If they do finally agree to a deal, will it be the #1 story on ESPN that day? I say a Tebow story will triumph the NHL agreement!

He could come to Boston......that is if he has any interest in ever winning the Cup.

I'm not sure about Iggy W2 but sorry to hear the first sign of a truly bad Alberta winter has been spotted.

A Sutter behind the bench.

He would be a great fit on plenty of teams but if wants to win a cup he should return to his home town
