01:54 PM ET 11.21 | Jay Cutler has taken one major step to returning to the field by getting medically cleared to practice, according to the Chicago Tribune. Cutler was concussed in a Week 10 loss to the Houston Texans and did not play in the Bears Monday Night Football loss to the San Francisco 49ers. That Cutler has been cleared to practice gives him an opportunity to potentially return this weekend. If he can't go, Jason Campbell will likely get the nod again.

They should rest Cutler for one more week.

He has been cleared to practice, he still has to cleared to play. Alex Smith practice the whole week before the Chicago game and took a majority of the snaps, he failed to pass the second step in concussion examinations, and is still not cleared to play. Smith may sit out the N.O. game also. But I think you are right they should give him one more week. After that the Bears will be fighting for their lives in order to make the playoffs as a Wild Card Team and will need Cutler healthy.

No need to rush it. There's plenty of time to run for his life the following week vs Seattle
