Benson's season over?

08:10 AM ET 11.22 | Cedric Benson, who was injured Oct. 7 in Indianapolis, may already have played his final game of 2012. [Benson] said Wednesday it's still possible that he will need foot surgery, which would end his first season with the team. Benson has an appointment scheduled later in the month with Robert Anderson, a foot and ankle specialist in Charlotte, N.C. "It's still a lingering possibility," Benson said, referring to surgery. "And that's not cool when you're trying to get back to play. I'm going to a doctor who they trust." ... There are three types of Lisfranc injuries. It was reported by ESPN that he suffered a Lisfranc fracture, but Benson said he still wasn't sure what type of Lisfranc injury he has on his left foot.
