08:20 AM ET 11.22 | Under Greg Mattison, Michigan's defense has improved dramatically, though it will have its hands full with Ohio State. Mattison was a finalist for the Broyles Award as the nation's top assistant coach last season. He indicated his unit's toughest test will come on Saturday, calling Ohio State's offense "No. 1 in the country right now" and expressing the usual concerns about keeping outside containment of quarterback Braxton Miller. "This guy is way too fast for you to say, 'Hey, I'm going to catch him, I'm going to take a chance here,'" Mattison said. "You have to try to keep him inside all the time." Last year, Miller passed for 235 yards and rushed for 100 in a 40-34 Michigan victory that ended a seven-game losing streak to Ohio State.

Maybe the whole Broyles award thing gives him poetic license.

Nah, DC, it's just the usual hyperbole in these parts about anything related to "The Game".

That's good to no...cuz if the bucknut offense is the best in CFB, I've been watching something different. It may be the best in the future, but not right now IMHO.

It's not where Urban wants it to be right now but the future looks like a string of Big Ten Championships and runs at the National Championship. When he gets the athletes he wants to compliment what he has now,LOOK OUT!!!!!!!!!

Yep. It's just sheer coincidence that Gene Smith is a Notre Dame graduate. NOT.

I'm a Buckeye... born and raised in Columbus... went to OSU and wanted to name my daughter Scarlete Ann (my last name is Gray), but I saw that offense struggle against Wisconsin last week. It has it's moments but is not the best offense in the nation. Maybe next year.

itll take the rest of the conference about 2 years to realize its only 1 play and if you play zone and stay home... dont chase the ball... its useless
