08:22 AM ET 11.22 | It seems more likely than ever that Cierre Wood will take his game to the next level. [Wood spent Senior Day weekend] scribbling down pros and cons of returning for his final season of eligibility or departing to the NFL. And, at the moment, Wood's mother told the Tribune her son is leaning toward carrying on. "70-30," Valerie Wood said in a phone interview Wednesday. "70-30, he's leaning that he's taking it to the next level." Cierre Wood has not arrived at a final decision, his mother said, and he was not made available this week by Notre Dame for interviews. He will file paperwork with the NFL, as virtually all players contemplating an early jump do, to determine his draft prospects.

I hope he remembers to take it to the next level Saturday. Max Wittek is out there and he's coming for us!

A lot of Thanksgiving days have been ruined by not carving the turkey in the kitchen.

Happy Holiday!

You got us right where you want us. Coach is on the hot seat, defensive coordinator has had his AARP membership rescinded, starting qb is on the bench and you're publishing an obscene phone number on the Internet.

Happy Thanksgiving.

I hate that phrase. They also have nothing, absolutely nothing to win. We're gonna punch USC in the gut and without anything to play for, they are gonna stay down and get routed.

That's a good plan.

First USC play is Maxi-pad dropping back for a bomb. Tuitt blasts him in the blind side, he fumbles and Big Lou scoops and score.

Positive waves, positive waves.

You could very well be right!!! All I'm saying is that, USC season is down the tube and I'm sure they will "let it all hang out" against the Irish and I don't mean literally!!!! LOL.

LOL, you don't think that USC has "nothing, absolutely nothing to win"???? Don't kid yourself, USC would like "nothing" better, than to ruin Notre Dame's perfect season!!!!!

LF, you have a great Thanksiving too. Good luck with the Irish beating USC. Like I said earlier, I will be pulling for USC, but I don't have any problem, if ND wins and goes to the NCG.

Then they have something to lose then...the chance to ruin our season. Which if you compare "reasons": National Championship game > being a spoiler

All the pressure will be on the Irish this weekend, but good luck and have a great Thanksgiving!!!
