08:24 AM ET 11.22 | An arrangement that seemed curious to some in the first place seems to have run its course. A 4-0 loss to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins Wednesday night at Giant Center was quickly overshadowed when the Washington Capitals announced that Adam Oates will no longer serve as co-coach of the Hershey Bears. Caps head coach Oates, assistants Calle Johansson and Tim Hunter, and video coach Brett Leonhardt are returning to Washington, leaving head coach Mark French and assistant coach Troy Mann back in complete charge of the Bears. "I think everybody learned a lot in the time we were together," French said. "I thought all four individuals made it work as well as it possibly could."

Didn't Edmonton already prove that?

And ... they learned it's not in their best interest to be labeled as "losers" even before the NHL season begins ('if' and 'when').
