08:24 AM ET 11.22 | A break in the ranks? [Roman Hamrlik] is 38 years old, and is watching his $3.5 million salary disappear for the 2012-13 season, in the second year of a two-year contract. If you're wondering if he's frustrated ... well, how many other players have taken a run at the head of the National Hockey League Players Association lately? Roman Jedlicka, a play-by-play voice for TV Nova, offered a translation of this interview with Hamrlik in which he addressed Donald Fehr: "I am disgusted. We have to push Fehr to the wall to get the deal. Time is against us. We lost 1/4 season, it is $425 million. Who will give it back to us? Mr. Fehr? There should be voting between players. Four questions -- YES or NO -- then count it. If half of players say let's play, then they should sign new CBA."

I've posted this before but it is worth another look.

If the players do not want to give up HUGE concessions next September, they best do this sort of total vote ASAP. As yesterdays league rejection showed us...the Owners are frickin serious. I was very disappointed to see the owners still want roll backs on existing contracts, that just wrong. Everything else-its their league, they make the rules.

Well! Thank you Mr. Obvious! There should be more of you (a lot more of you) saying what you all know to be true: time is against you! Now, get it done and ..... get back to work .... before it's too late!

You'd think the NHLPA would learn something from the Hostess Corp. demise but ..... alas ... they appear to be dumber than a Twinkie!

There is a lesson there for sure. I used to enjoy Hostess cupcakes and moon pies etc. in my herb burning teenage years. The last time i tasted one ( about 20+ years back) i was appalled at the fake sugar flavorless goo taste they have if eaten straight and sober?? Stoners everywhere need to brace themselves ;-)
