12:36 PM ET 11.22 | Detroit Lions offensive lineman Jeff Backus won't be playing for the first time in his NFL career, and Titus Young is also inactive for the team's Thanksgiving Day game against the Houston Texans. Backus played in 186 consecutive games, but Riley Reiff will start at left tackle as Backus' hamstring injury will keep him out of Thursday's game. Titus Young has been ruled out as expected due to his knee injury. Nick Fairley is able to go with despite missing practice all week with an illness, but fellow lineman Corey Williams, who is also sick, won't be able to play.

I think once Schwartz challenged the play, it became an un-reviewable penalty. If Schwartz hadn't challenged the play would have been reviewed, and likely reversed. Schwartz screwed his team by being overly aggressive and not knowing the rules well enough.

On the play that should have been a non-touchdown, the Lions players didn't do well either. You would think that at the NFL level, if the official doesn't blow the whistle, that players would know to keep playing. Just a bonehead play all around for Detroit.
