08:03 AM ET 11.23 | In the eyes of some, it was a play that served as a microcosm of the Jets' season. During one of the worst losses in Jets history, Mark Sanchez became the butt of jokes across the NFL and over the Internet Thursday night. With the Jets on their way to allowing 21 points in a 52-span of the second quarter of their 49-19 loss to the Patriots, Sanchez planned on handing the ball off to Lex Hilliard, who was nowhere to be found when the Jets' QB turned around. Sanchez had no choice but to run it himself, but slipped and his face smacked against Brandon Moore's behind, causing a fumble that was returned by Steve Gregory for a 32-yard touchdown.

Great to see you Mother. Please bless Gronk's arm to heal faster.
Please also offer blessings to Edelman from the cheap hit by the Jets. I see your curse on them worked to perfection.

Personally, I enjoyed the fat toe-sucker talking about how the Jests STILL have a chance to get into the playoffs.
Has it occurred to him yet that his mouth isn't doing anyone any favors? Considering that his #2 QB and most bestest, greatestest player of all the times in Tebow had 2 broken ribs and wasn't available but suited up, I know he isn't the brightest bulb on the tree. Hell, it could be debated the filament broke years ago, but that's another story.
As a Pats fan, I hope the Jests NEVER fire Ryan, it's one fewer team in the AFC East to ever worry about. Yes, they had a couple of good years where they were the 1st loser in the AFC, and for them that's a major accomplishment worthy of a holiday, but since then, they've been so much fun to watch implode.

So, if the Pats keep playing, then Edelman deserved to get hit by a Jets player launching himself head first?
It ain't little league out there, if Rex is going to constantly run his mouth, then he has to be ready for the ramifications.
Also, if the Jets don't want the Pats to score, play defense. It was also the 3rd quarter, when are the Pats supposed to "shut it down"?

That hit on Edelman was clean. They both lowered themselves and the head to head wasn't intentional.

I saw the replay, the defender lowered his head to make helmet to helmet contact.

Honest question. For anyone who complains that the Pats "run up the score", what should the rule be? Is there a set bunch of plays that they can only be allowed to call? The Jets were equally inept at stopping the run and pass, so I suppose they could just take a knee and punt it back so the Jets have a chance.
While we are at it, we can hand out "participant" ribbons to all players on the Jets team so they don't feel bad at award night as well.

Yeah, what the hell was that?
I watched the replay and Sanchez ran right into the guy's back. The announcers were claiming that Wilfork shoved the offensive lineman into Sanchez but I really didn't see it that way. That lineman did not come flying backwards with any kind of velocity. Sanchez just ran right into him.
Which I suppose explains every throw Sanchez has ever made as a Jet. The guy is blind as a bat.

Is this the last year for him in NY? Do they blow it all up and start over?
