Heat rising again on Garrett

08:03 AM ET 11.23 | Rather than blast his team, Jerry Jones spoke mostly of the show put on by Robert Griffin III, saying, "We ran into a guy who is exceptional." RG3, with four touchdown throws on Thursday, is a rookie quarterbacking gift who figures to keep on giving. Meanwhile, the Cowboys' arrow is buried deep in Jason Garrett's back. Another head coaching change at Valley Ranch is the last thing the franchise needs, but with Jason's hand-picked defensive coordinator, Rob Ryan, having a massive meltdown against RG3, and with Garrett's offense failing to respond until it was too late, well ... Considering the current circumstances, and with a knockout blow having been delivered to the Cowboys' playoff long shot, there hasn't been a darker defeat in Garrett's brief tenure.

I think the Cowboys biggest issue is the owner who thinks he knows football. If Jerry's ego would allow him to hire a real GM, the Cowboys fortune might turn around. Jerry is the Cowboys biggest problem.

The Cowboys are usually given the tools to succeed by Jerry Jones but they just don't seem to do it on the field. That's not all Jone's fault. Somewhere along the lines the players and coaches have to man up about it and take the blame.

This game showed a few good things :
1 - when Garrett allows Tony to open up the offense, they move the ball.
2 - Cole Beasley is a solid wide out in the slot.
Dallas, playoffs or not, should use these things to their advantage the rest of the way....
For example...rather than waiting until they are down in a game or late, run the no-huddle for a series or 2 and get Beasley in there.
Garrett is not going anywhere unless the Cowboys bomb the rest of the season.
If they go 7-9 or 8-8, he is not gone, like it or not.
Now...if they only win 1 more game, that will create a lot of pressure on Jones.

I think the writer is being just a little too dramatic in his assessment. 9 wins takes the division. Heck, 8 may be all anybody needs. The Redskins played well and are a very capable team. Give them some credit.

1. We already knew Dez is a dumbass.
2. Garrett is not getting the job done on several levels.
3. No team should ever employee anyone with the Buddy Ryan genome.
4. The "improvements" to the O-line.....aren't.
5. There is a reason why Romo wasn't drafted.
6. Either training staff should all be unemployed, or the entire team is made of glass.

People are always drawing similarities between the dearly departed Al Davis and Jerry Jones. Well one thing that they had in common was hiring Rob Ryan as a defensive coordinator. Before you jump to the conclusion that the problem is Jason Garretts maybe they should recognize that Ryans defenses sucked in Oakland, they have sucked under 2 different head coaches, and he has sucked even after Jerry Jones bought and drafted him a brand new secondary. Both NYJ and Dallas have a common problem and that is they have a Ryan brother on their team.
