OKC will throw Perkins at point guards

08:07 AM ET 11.23 | Coming to a point guard near you: Kendrick Perkins. Imagine the fan reaction Friday in TD Garden if [the ex-Celtics center] crouched down and started defending close friend and ex-teammate Rajon Rondo in the backcourt. Several times this season the 6-foot-10, 262-pound Perkins has defended the Thunder's opposing point guard. He does this to temporarily disrupt the other team's offense, which presumably hasn't spent much time prepping for Perkins defending the point. "Get them out of their rhythm," Perkins explained. In addition to the shock value, Perkins does this to ignite his internal fire. "I kind of get going. I get excited about doing that." ... "I really don't plan on doing it (against Rondo)," Perkins said. "You've got to pick and choose."

Works great if OKC still has a size advantage in the paint, so the opposing guard does not have to deal with a horrible mismatch in the post. And, as the article states, if the opposing team has not prepared for it.

Well if Durant had to guard Chalmers in the finals, I guess Perkins may as well guard point guards....
I said before and I will say again, unless OKC gets a center of Chris Kaman's caliber, they ain't winning a damn thing.
Durant & Westbrook have both improved where needed, without low post scoring, nothing is happening for OKC.
The clippers are now better!
