09:10 PM ET 11.23 | The college football season is coming to a close and post season awards finalists are starting to separate themselves from the pack. Texas A&M Aggies quarterback Johnny Manziel has taken the nation by storm and has become the favorite to win the prestigious Heisman Trophy award. Early in the season, West Virginia Mountaineers signal-caller Geno Smith appeared to be running away with the award before Kansas State Wildcats quarterback Collin Klein made a late-season run. It was until a few weeks ago that Klein had the award wrapped up and now Manziel is the favorite in Vegas to take home the award. According to Bovada.com, the man known as Johnny Football is now a 2/5 favorite to win the Heisman. Klein's odds for the award sit at 5/2.

DAMN! What's with the love-fest for this kid?! Is he good? Yeah, he's good. Got the POTENTIAL to be great, but let's not annoint him The Second Coming of Teebus, just yet.

Interesting stat about Johnny Foozball; He's accounted for 38 total TD's.

Against aTm's four best opponents, UF, LSU, Moo State, Bama: FIVE total TD's. In the Aggies two losses, he accounted for a total of ONE touchdown.

Again, the kid is good, but he's not quite the world-beater he's being made out to be right now. Time will tell...

That's because Tajh Boyd plays in the ACC. If I remember correctly, Clemson actually won the ACC last year only to get hammered by West Virginia. Tajh Boyd threw 2 INTs in that game and didn't even get to 300 yards passing. How do you not put up video game numbers against West Virginia if you're a Heisman candidate? The ACC is a joke.

If I remember LSU won the SEC only to get hammered by Alabama in the bowl game, the SEC is a joke!

Why is Johnny Manziel the Heisman favorite???? Is it because the Aggies beat Bama???? I agree the kid is very good and fun to watch, but there are a few players out there that IMO, are more deserving!!!

LOL, I wouldn't say "suck" as the SEC is a good conference, but IMO they are down this year. I sure in the hell hope Arky don't keep Smith as their HC. This idiot had absolutely nothing to lose, by not going for the TD on the one yard line instead of kicking a field goal. If I were in the stands, I would have left the stadium, after that field goal!!!

I think is a really good one, but the frontrunner just cause they beat Bama.Well, it was Bama. it was at Bama, I guess I see it somewhat, but what about the losses?

RGIII and Baylor had threelosses last year but he still won it. Me thinks they only care about OFFENSIVE stats since the former winners that vote are offensive guys.

Someone is gonna win it by default this year. It'll be interesting to see who they even invite to NY.

I'm not a domer but I think Te'o is it...again, by default.

The rest of the SEC hopes they keep John L. Kind of like the rest of the Big 12 hopes Texas keeps Mack.

ESPN began featuring Manziel after his performance in the Mississippi State game. Reece Davis and his "scoobie doo" commentary got some laughs and made people remember.

The next week was the 'Bama win.

The next week Manziel set some records against a Div. 1-AA opponent.

Then aTm announces their official campaign for JM Heisman.

Suddenly he's the front-runner (according to the media).

smh.
