Padres interested in Dan Haren, Shaun Marcum

Haren may do well to move to the NL, but he's not the pitcher he used to be. In any case, pitching isn't really the Padres' problem.

Are the Padres moving the fences in this year? If so, not quite as an attractive park to pitch in.

I think they have money now.

Haren and Marcum will get offers from others, including teams with a real chance to make the playoffs this year and beyond.

At this time, I am not sure San Diego is in that category.

WAKE UP INTERNS!!!

If you signed both of them there is still no chance of making the playoffs next year, so why not keep your money and built up your system with good draft picks and rule 5 pick ups.
