Chargers' locker room distraught

08:02 AM ET 11.26 | One of the loneliest sounds in sports could be heard Sunday in San Diego as cleats clicked quietly up a carpeted tunnel after another Chargers loss. A 10-point lead over the Ravens with less than four minutes remaining unwound into a 16-13 overtime defeat. There may not be one descriptor to capture the mood in the locker room afterward. So, inside linebacker Takeo Spikes used three. "Everybody is baffled," Spikes said. "It's puzzled, distraught." While others undressed and showered to drip the stench away, safety Corey Lynch sat in full pads at his locker, staring blankly into the backboard as reporters entered the room. Spikes, whose locker was across from him, gave Lynch a supportive pop to his right shoulder pad.

Yep, starting with Smith and Turner cleaning out their offices.

Pretty much the same team they've put on the field for the past 10 years.

"... as cleats clicked quietly up a carpeted tunnel ... "
And they need to replace that carpet. Cleats don't click unless the carpet is in really bad shape.

Minus some very good players they've let go so as to increase their mediocrity.

One of the talking heads on ESPN was speculating that Andy Reid is a SoCal guy and would be very interested in coaching the Chargers next year.

Sproles leaving hurt them badly. Jackson was a big loss, too, not to mention Brees.

They need to burn the house, bulldoze it, bury it and move to a different neighborhood (or city).

Open a for-profit college. Those places are money magnets.

Agreed... Like LT, but only difference was they would at least make it to the first round of the playoffs before they were eliminated. Now it doesn't seem like they can make it.

Only because the rest of the AFC West was even worse than they were.

This is what you get when you keep Turner for as long as they have. He is a natural loser. He has historically taken teams with great talent and turned them into losers time and time again.

Philly fans would LOVE him. Soon as he throws one of his patented INTs, it's out to the woodshed with him. And with his temper, man I would love to see that backlash.
