08:24 AM ET 11.26 | While there is the matter of a lockout, Pittsburgh Penguins owner Mario Lemieux has a nice new ski home to keep him warm this winter. [Lemieux] recently took possession of a new $20-million home in Mont Tremblant, Quebec's high end ski resort town. The 15,000 square feet sprawling, Swiss castle-style mansion about 145 km north of Montreal has 23 rooms as well as 10 bathrooms. The castle, which is made of stone and wood, is located on a piece of land close to Tremblant's golf course and ski hills. The castle also features a triple garage and a double garage, has an in-ground swimming pool and an outdoor tennis court with a heated floor. Construction started in 2009 and according to QMI Agency sources, Lemieux often travelled to the construction site.

Well, that's just kickass now isn't it.

November 26, 2012  08:56 AM ET

Well why didn't they just say so before. I'm sure the players will gladly give up some dough when they fine out the hardships being felt by the owners. I mean, only 10 bathrooms? How crude.

Maybe he could invite the Fehrless Leader and his brother over to discuss the grinding poverty ex-players face these days.

Does this mean Sid get's his own wing instead of having to sleep on the couch??? :o)

Yes, and it's stocked with revolting, vicious, slimey creatures....NHL lawyers.

Hey come on now, don't be hating. Mario saved his lunch money, turned in some glass bottles for deposit and some aluminum cans for recycling so he could get enough money for the down payment. Now he can really plead poverty, because he has to make the mortgage payments on that thing.

For two months now I have been saying that if the players had to sit on the other side of the bargaining table their tune would sound quite a bit different.

I offer you exhibit "A".

Mario has been strangely silent when considering these negotiations. You'd think as an ex-player and former member of the NHLPA he would be leading the charge to give the players all that they want.

Now don't go and try to introduce logic to an irrational situation

Nice to see that he made sure there was room for Dan Quinn!

What a tough way to spend your time away from work. You just gotta feel sorry for the guy.

My guess is that he's there because "A" he's a homeboy and "B" he like the golf course. Mario is said to be quite the golfer.

Mario has been loyal to Mario.

Mario's a dou--che for not using his voice and opinion..if there was anybody that could bring sanity and a voice of reason into the fold it would be him.

Why do you think the other owners would listen to him?

What makes you think thats the only party he'd speak to ??...Mario should use his influence to convince the players to agree to the NHL's contract proposals and to convince the owners to respect and honour the signed contracts.
