11:10 AM ET 11.26 | Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis could actually return from a torn triceps before the season is over, according to a report from Yahoo! Sports. In fact, he may be able to get ready to get back on the field against Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos in Week 15. Lewis was injured in October against the Dallas Cowboys and hasn't played a down of football since. He was placed on injured reserve, but designated for return. Generally, a torn triceps muscle puts a player out for the remainder of the year. Of course, Lewis isn't the typical player. Some believe Lewis could practice with the team as soon as Thursday, the first day he would be allowed to do so.

The injury is an opportunity for the Ravens to scale Ray back from a every-down player. I'd be interested to see if they make that move if he returns this year.

If so, that would be amazing. After the injury, most people were saying Lewis would retire.

His career is winding down, he might as well take a stab at it. I'm sure he's itching to knife through the line and sack a QB.

Honestly, they may miss his leadership, but the defense was not really worse off without Lewis. I guess everyone forgets he wasn't playing very good before the injury. For the first time in his career, offenses actually took advantage of him.
He needs to retire at the end of the year, whether he's playing or not. His skills have eroded enough that he's a liability.
Webb on the other hand is the player that the Raven's defense is missing, in reality...whether the Ravens acknowledge that or not.
He should just keep doing what he did on the weekend...make a scene every defensive play, so that the cameras focus on him, not the players actually making the plays.
