Case McCoy to start for Texas vs. K-State

03:36 PM ET 11.26 | Texas already had a tall order ahead of it, coming off a loss to TCU and taking on a Kansas State team that just had a bye and is likely pretty angry about its dashed national title hopes. The Horns will also head into battle minus starting quarterback David Ash, who hurt his ribs against the Frogs. Case McCoy is next man up -- he's plenty experienced, as the Texas quarterback position hasn't been stable in years.

Implosion......

Case didn't impress me much in the TCU game. The way he was running around and throwing the ball up...just begging for an INT. That kind can have big rewards, but then the INT comes and it just kills your drive.

http://www.shaggybevo.com/board/showthread.php/122390-looks-like-we-h ad-an-argument-in-the-locker-room-last-night Someone on OB posted this: "between a few of the younger players and seniors and it got broken up by Madden and Wylie. This was after Mack left the room and he came storming back in and was irate. Apparently one of the players (a freshman) said quietly as Mack was leaving the room "no awards this f*cking week" (something to that effect) and it started an argument. There was a post earlier that mack was yelling at the players in the locker room after the game because of the loss. The truth is that some of the players got into it after he spoke to the team and it really pissed him off. The guy I spoke to said he's never seen Mack that upset."

Yikes. hard to be too excited after getting bizotch slapped.

I can't imagine the UTK locker room after that Vandy throttling.

Honestly, week to week this season, it has been a mystery as to which Longhorns team would show up to play - the one who unquestionably won 7 games, or the one who got lucky against Kansas, lost to WVA & TCU, and folded up like a cheap lawn chair to OK.

There was some comedy gold in that thread. And quite a bit of truth, too.

He had two or three floaters it seemed...hard to throw a good ball when you want to run around. Talk about happy feet...they were ecstatic

IMO I think there's a certain aspect to recruiting 4 & 5* players like TX always seems to do, they just seem to think all they have to do is show up and they will win because that's what they did in HS...I'd much rather have a walk-on with some fire in his belly....

It's really easy to tell if the Longhorns are going to win. If I pickem to win, they lose. If I pickem to lose, they win.

Wonder how many complaints the network got from the fans before they made Palmer apologize for what he did Thursday...
