04:44 PM ET 11.26 | Los Angeles Lakers guard Steve Nash returned to the court in a limited capacity during Monday's practice, but there still is no timetable for a return to game action. Nash has missed nearly the entire season with a small fracture in his left leg. "I really don't (know when Nash will return)," Mike D'Antoni said. "It's getting better every day. I know we keep saying that, but it is. Just when he's able to withstand some up-and-down, he'll play."

I just wonder how a 37 year with a bum wheel will do in this new up-tempo offense. One thing it will do is take the ball out of Kobe's hands quite a bit... that is good or bad depending how you feel about Kobe. Now, about these Amare for Pau rumors that you Laker fans are so excited about. What are you wanting... the Phoenix Suns-West? Problem is that those Suns never won anything and the players are several years older now. After watching D'Antoni's offense at Phoenix and NY, it looks to me like we have a Nash + a big man pick & roll with the rest being roll players. Shawn Marion did well because his skills limited him to shooting some kickout 3's and a few boards 'n dunks. But, Kobe Bryant is not a roll player... nor will he accept that roll. Kobe is a catch and shoot and/or drive to the hole dude and has never been in a pick 'n roll offense... though that is basic basketball and occurs in every NBA offense to some extent. Remember when Pau first came to the Lakers? He was a godsend and was what they needed... now he is expendable. I'm firmly on the side of Magic Johnson and believe that Buss-light has absolutely no clue what he is doing and the Lakers will pay for it with a very mediocre season.
