Recovering Mickelson to play Buick

Phil Mickelson said he will play in today's pro-am at the Buick Invitational at Torrey Pines. Mickelson has been bothered by congestion, shortness of breath and fatigue and his being able to play in the Buick was in doubt. Mickelson said he took antibiotics for three days. He has a 6:42 a.m. tee time in the pro-am. Mickelson has played in the Buick 17 times and won it three times.

Well, lets face it, this isn't the most fit guy on tour. No telling if this is from a case of bad hot dogs or an actually cold. If Phil "Man Boobies" Mickelson would spend some time in a weight room, he might find himself in contention every Sunday with Tiger.

Granted that McPhil doesn't have Tiger's work ethic, but do you really think merely doing some curls or squats would make the difference? Try a philosophy transfusion--or better yet, a full-on head transplant. Then he *might* compete.
