08:20 AM ET 11.27 | Aaron Murray has gone quiet. Georgia's record-setting quarterback has decided not to talk to the media this week as the No. 3-ranked Bulldogs' prepare for Saturday's monumental matchup against No. 2 Alabama in the SEC Championship game. According to Claude Felton, UGA's director of sports communications, Murray "has requested that he be relieved of interview duties this week and Coach Richt has approved. ... Apologies." Murray will apparently be available after this Saturday's game. Murray also bolted from the locker room after this past Saturday's game. Traditionally Murray answers questions from the same stool in the southeast corner of Georgia's locker room at Sanford Stadium after every home game.

I'm a little surprised that Bama is an early 7-1/2 point favorite over Georgia!!!

Too much.
Shouldn't be more than 2-3 points IMO, don't those guys know the SECCG occurs in the GEORGIA Dome? I know Bammer will bring some folks, though. That place will be a virtual sea of red, from both sides! Come on, you hairy Dawgs!

This thread is exactly why I don't pull for any other SEC teams. Their fans never pull for us, so why should I ever pull for them? :)

And that's how it should be. I don't ever go for this "SEC SEC SEC" crap, like my team is good by association.
I wish nothing but 0-12 seasons on Alabama and Florida, and maybe Georgia too.
If I had my way the stadium would implode during the SEC title game, effectively ridding me of two banes. :-)

You guys see where Dungy said Murray was the most NFL-ready QB and should be taken #1 overall? I was suprised.
FWIW, I will root for Alabama, although I have no dog in the fight, Joe. I still think 7 1/2 is too high, though.

Also, FWIW.....which isn't much....I think UGA is a tougher match-up for ND that Gump is. Gump starts with and lives by the run. ND's strength is stopping the run. I think ND has more problems w/ UGA's dynamic offense than they do Gumps offense.
I also think UGA has enough play makers on the defensives side of the ball to stop ND as well. IF i was a Domer Homer, I'd be pulling for Alabama....just sayin
