12:49 PM ET 11.27 | DeSean Jackson has been placed on injured reserve, and will miss the rest of the 2012 season after fracturing his ribs during the Philadelphia Eagles' loss to the Carolina Panthers on Monday Night Football, Eagles head coachAndy Reid announced Tuesday. Jackson finished the night with just one reception for nine yards before leaving the game for good in the first quarter. He had 45 receptions for 700 yards and two touchdowns on the year.

I think that is a good possibility. I also wonder if the lawsuit(s), and the league emphasis on player safety isn't leading teams to not just shoot players up with pain killers and send them out to play.
