02:07 PM ET 11.27 | The New York Giants will be trying out free agent running backs on Tuesday afternoon, including Cadillac Williams and Ryan Grant, according to a report by Jenny Vrentas of NewJersey.com. In addition to Grant and Williams, the team will also be trying out other candidates to fill the roster spot of injured running back Andre Brown. Williams was originally picked with the No. 5 overall selection in the 2005 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After six seasons with the team, he signed as a free agent with the St. Louis Rams in 2011 to back up Steven Jackson. Grant was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Giants and spent the 2005 season on the practice squad. He then spent five seasons with the Green Bay Packers before signing as a free agent with the Washington Redskins this past offseason. After playing in one game, he was released by the team.

Brown is a big loss for the Giants. I was more confident in him than Bradshaw most of this season, and I think Wilson is still too green to handle an expanded role.

The Giants are fine without him as they rely more on the pass than the run.
