Gainesville (Ga.) defensive end Keith Wells received an in-school and in-home visit from Ohio State coach Jim Tressel on Tuesday. The 6-foot-5, 215-pound Wells, who originally committed to Florida State in August, confirmed Tuesday evening that he will choose between Ohio State and Tennessee in just over a week.

lets get'em in columbus..ut is not a bad choice tho....but he'll look better in scarlet and grey

January 23, 2008  08:57 AM ET

At 215 he's a little undersized but the Buckeyes don't need him right away.

January 23, 2008  09:50 AM ET

I wonder if he is goning to pick up the scholarship that was going to Pryor?

January 23, 2008  11:31 AM ET

Iam guessing here that he will not show any film from their last bowl game..

January 23, 2008  11:58 AM ET

or maybe he can say, look we might have lost but we are returning almost everyone from a young team, we like to play young guys, you could have a shot....

January 23, 2008  12:00 PM ET

Tressel was probably letting the family know how he could help them with their transportation needs just like he did for the Clarets.

HOVA

i think tressell knows with more big 10 teams switching to the spread attack(um and psu, illinois)he is going to have to recruit smaller but quicker linebackers and DE's to keep up with that...a lot of the sec schools have smaller lbs and de's but can run with anybody.

January 23, 2008  04:32 PM ET

iM StEviE: That's true. I forgot about that after my earlier comment. I remember that Auburn had some linebackers a couple of years ago at 205 and 200 pounds so it kind of makes sense.

An upgrade from Larrynitus.

January 23, 2008  05:19 PM ET

I think the NCAA needs to step up and tell these kids look you committed to FSU you have to play there or lose out on a scholarship and have to sit out a yea if you decide to go to another school you word is mud nowadays with all these kids verbally commmitting and then going elsewhere

January 23, 2008  06:17 PM ET

upgrade? from #33? put down the meth and go run around on the interstate...

January 23, 2008  06:18 PM ET
