Cowboys fan petitions Obama to remove Jerry Jones

04:31 PM ET 11.27 | Dallas Cowboys fans have had it with Jerry Jones and his control issues. Many fans have long called for him to relinquish his duties as general manager but Jerry Jones has never even considered it. Jerry Jones famously cites the Cowboys' three Superbowl victories in the early '90s as his managerial resume. But one fan, from Benning, Georgia, known as "Steve M." has started a petition to get Jerry Jones removed as GM and owner of the Dallas Cowboys. Check out the petition on NFLSpinZone.com

Why ask Obama? Wouldn't it make more sense to ask Goodell or try to get it brought up at an owner's meeting?
No matter what, it'd be a huge legal nightmare for the NFL to try to step in and force an owner to make personnel moves without a clear violation of labor laws. Maybe they could find some loophole about the level of pay he receives as GM? I know coaches and the office people don't have a CBA but there might be some sort of guidelines.
