Kentucky hires Mark Stoops as head coach

What? With all the potential coaching jobs opening up he hurries up and takes a doormat job?

He could have done MUCH better than Kentucky. IMO, he should have gone to the Vols if he wanted to coach in the SEC.

NOT funny! Yeah, I've heard Jimbo's name mentioned in the Vols coaching search, but I don't see him making that jump. If he DOES, then I'm gonna make a jump too...off the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, lol!

Besides, it looks like you guys are working Gruden HARD. For the sake of all my Vols friends, I hope to hell you don't get Jon Gruden. He has to be the most overrated coach in all of football...with the exception of Lane Kiffin, of course.

I think Gruden could be a bad hire too, especially for the money. And I don't see Jimbo coming, it's not a promotion, lateral move at best.

Well, they pull out them thar Kentucky Long Rifles and everyone seems to get to an agreement on things fairly quickly for some odd reason.

I am guessing he thinks the level of expectation is just a wee bit different between the 2 schools, and he is going with the lower one.

Glad to hear that, was wondering if U of Cincinnati coach Butch Jones would get the job as he is on some schools radar. Hope he stays at UC tho.
