08:01 AM ET 11.28 | When Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick returns, he will do so with some extra protection. [Vick spent] Tuesday night being sized for a protective skull cap that he plans to wear under his helmet to safeguard against suffering another concussion. At the urging of neurologist Dr. Dimi Barot, Vick met at his home with Unequal Technology Corporation CEO Rob Vito to be measured for the new "dome" device made of the company's Concussion Reduction Technology. Vick had Unequal retro-fit his helmet with similar padding upon returning from a concussion in September 2011. The same company designed protective Kevlar devices that enabled Vick and Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo to play with serious rib injuries in recent seasons.

The Guy has no way of protecting his head, his head hit the turf even when he's tacked around the waist!!!!

I still don't understand how this will help him read defenses.

He got fitted for this stuff after a concussion in 2011 and then quit using it? Ain't that a kick in the head.

The solution is simple and seasonal. FRUITCAKE! Line every helmet with stuff after it has been cooled and sat for three days. It is the one man made substance that defies gravity, pressure and has no other worldly purpose.

There are humans in this state (like my father-in-law) that swear to the value of fruitcake although I have no earthly reason why.

That stuff is wretched.

Naaahhh. There's nothing like a slice of fruitcake with a cup of coffee and a glass of Drambuie. And no, you don't use the fruitcake as a coaster.

That is how I see it. It should not even be categorized as a food, it must have some worldly use.

It's a gift. It doesn't need to have a worldly use, other than as dead weight to keep your attic on your house.

Buffalo is a sorry franchise, but even so, Fitzpatrick is better than Mike Vick at this point. They learned not to take anything from Honest Andy's Used Quarterbacks with Vince Young.
