Take Fisher's proclamation lightly

08:17 AM ET 11.28 | Like many headlines during the coaching silly season, this one comes with its dominoes. Kentucky's hiring of Florida State defensive coordinator Mark Stoops on Tuesday could be relevant to Tennessee for two reasons. For one, it leaves Cincinnati coach Butch Jones on the market. ... The other interesting tidbit is this: Stoops was hired by the Wildcats only about 24 hours after Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher adamantly denied that Stoops had interviewed for the position. His evasiveness was understandable -- he's trying to put together a recruiting class, after all -- but it was also further evidence to take Fisher's loudly proclaimed commitment to FSU with a grain of salt.

Jimbo ain't leaving the Noleys, unless they fire him, and that's not happening. Kville News stirring the pot.

Don't you get so tired of these guys lying so much, why can't they be honest for a change.

Haven't you southeast guys reported that both FSU and UTk have money problems? Same, same?
But not as bad as what SI reported for Maryland.

Practicing for their next profession as a politician.
Besides, if they are honest they can't be good recruiters.

You have a point, but it's at best a lateral move to a struggling program in a brutal league known for running coaches out of town on a rail if they don't perform. He has the Noleys back in the Top 10-15 at this point, no reason to give that job up IMO.

Agreed. I don't see the move making much sense from my angle.
The longer this coaching crap lasts the more it makes me fear we'll get some mid-major nobody. I'm just so used to Hamilton screwing things up that I have to remind myself that he's no longer there and that Hart seems like a guy that can get it done.
This whole thing is giving me an ulcer.

I'm afraid you're my only supporter DC. But a faithful one you've been.
You're definitely in the inner circle when I'm hired.

I have heard about their money woes. His salary is obviously set in stone, but if FSU is hurting for money, that would affect future facility type moves, recruiting budget possibly?, etc.
Plus, I have heard he does not get along with the administration. Not sure how true that is, but it is something that could make him look elsewhere.
