03:50 PM ET 11.28 | Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh received a $30,000 fine from the NFL for kicking Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub in the groin during last week's game, Anwar Richardson of MLive reports. The lineman won't be suspended by the league for the incident, as it announced earlier this week. While the third-year pro insists that his foot "inadvertently hit" Schaub in the groin while he was falling to the ground, Suh has a history of suspensions and fines for plays perceived as dirty or illegal by the league office. The league said earlier this week that Suh's history would be a factor in the team's review of the incident with Schaub.

The fine should have been $300,000 plus an order to be castrated.

Pretty stiff fine for inadvertent contact, eh. Really dumb decision by the NFL. Let's get this straight: the NFL didn't suspend him because they couldn't be sure it was intentional, but it wasn't clear it was inadvertent so they fined him? It was either intentional or it wasn't; you really need to determine that before you punish him at all. Does arbitrary and capricious ring a bell?

Bottom line: he is scum, he is an animal, he should be banned for life by the NFL.

Why fine him if it was inadvertent? Stupid NFL blew another one!

Suh is a nut job but the NFL blew this one. Either you think he did it and he should be hammered or he didn't do it and shouldn't be punished at all. Suh will appeal and this will be overturned and the NFL decision makers will look like the incompetent boobs that they are.

Donkey Kong Suh will maim or kill someone on the field. If Goodell can go after bounty-gate like he did, then why the pitty-pat treatment of Donkey Kong?

November 28, 2012  06:52 PM ET

I see where this is going. The NFL is trying to mitigate the perception of sissifying the game. You cannot make a good clean hard hit, but it's OK to throw a cleat into the gonads. Gotta keep some violence in the game!

I think good therapy for him would be to hang, drown and electrocute pit bulls.

Can't argue with you. That therapy did wonders for Vick.

Yeah, that would just be wrong.
