The Eagles' 2013 QB connundrum

01:17 AM ET 11.29 | The 2012 Philadelphia Eagles have many problems. One of the ones that didn't seem to be there at the beginning of the season, however, was at quarterback. Recall, if you will, where the Eagles' QB situation was in September: Michael Vick was firmly entrenched as the starting QB, coming off a disappointing year but looking to rebound. Rookie backup Nick Foles had just set the NFL on fire in his extended preseason due to Vick's injury. Every Eagles fan saw one of three scenarios playing out: Either Vick would bounce back to his 2010 form and take a stranglehold on the QB job, Vick would get injured and Foles would step in and prove himself to be the QB of 2013, or Vick would play poorly and be released at the end of the season with Foles stepping into the starting QB spot. What has happened, however, is something not many were predicting. Vick struggled, then got injured, and was replaced by Foles. To describe his eight quarters of game action as 'underwhelming' thus far would be generous. He hasn't given any signs to say that he can be the Eagles' QB of the future, and therefore the Eagles face an unexpected, unwelcome decision under center this offseason.

Not for nothing, it???s Conundrum. This is really not a riddle when it concerns the Eagles. Vick is not what the Eagles thought he would be. Reid is out.
So, where is the problem, or as the article in such a Philadelphia way, used an improper word, without understanding said word. There is No problem, you need a Coach who can develop your QBs, and know how to coach. A QB, who can be taught and developed into a system that best, utilizes his ability.
Then again, it is a Philadelphia Eagles Fan.
Now with that said, before you go out and put in a word misspelled and out of context, do not respond in the negative way, it is the writer who decided to put an article on the internet for others to read and critique.

I think everyone knew that Vick would get hurt and would miss multiple games. But, the whole team around him has been ineffective, and his own performance wasn't up to the level he's played at in previous years.
Foles did OK in pre-season, but pre-season is even more meaningless than it has been in the past. Anyone who sees a player as the (fill in the position)-of-the-future based on pre-season play is deluding himself.
This isn't a conumdrum. It's more like the Titanic.

Philly needs a head coach, probably a GM, and an O line. There don't appear to be any QBs that are clearly better than Foles available, so they should work on the line and give Foles a full year.
