08:13 AM ET 11.29 | On the upside, the first game in the post-Joshua Smith era went down as a win Wednesday, but losing the 6-10 junior center does thin Ben Howland's ranks significantly at UCLA. "It affects us from the standpoint of one less guy who played 13 minutes per game for six games," Howland said. ... And with two more players now leaving, more questions about Howland's coaching are inevitable as UCLA struggles. Howland, however, dodged the question for the most part on Wednesday night, claiming that Smith didn't seem to be visibly unhappy on the team. With doubts swirling around their coach though, forward Travis Wear expressed his dismay with the inevitable questions about Howland's coaching and the players leaving the program. "It's not fun," Wear said.
