10:44 AM ET 11.29 | Although Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis can return to the practice field on Thursday, head coach John Harbaugh says the team is going to play it day-by-day, the Carroll County (Md.) Times reports. "He is not imminent to play or anything like that, so to me it's really a non-story," Harbaugh said. "He'll go out there when he's ready to practice when the elbow holds. And when that happens, we'll let you know." Ray Lewis is still recovering from a complete tear of his right triceps that he suffered during the Ravens' victory against theDallas Cowboys in Week 6. He was placed on the injured reserve at the time of the injury, but was also placed on the new designated-to-return list. Under this new exemption, Lewis is eligible to return to practice six weeks after being placed on the injured reserve and can return to game action after eight weeks.

If he is really back, that would be amazing. It may also be that the Ravens are just saying he's able to practice to meet the requirement of the rule, and that their intention is to keep him out until he is truly ready, probably for the playoffs.

Day by day,

QUOTE(#5):

Day by day, Day by day, Oh, dear Lord, Who should I murder next?

Day by day,
Day by day,
Oh, dear Lord,
To kill I pray.

To slit their throats more clearly,
To aim my gun more nearly,
To be a thug more cheerily,
Day by day by day by day by day ...
