12:51 PM ET 11.29 | Detroit Lions running back Mikel Leshoure returned to practice on Thursday, a day after sitting out because of an ankle injury. Leshoure should play in Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts. Leshoure ran for 32 yards and a touchdown in the Thanksgiving Day loss to the Houston Texans. He has scored five touchdowns in the last four games for the Lions.

What is with the Lions? Shouldn't they be better?

Good for Mike Leshoure. Unfortunately, he's still on the Lions.

They would be if they had more talent.

I think it's the equivalent of a "sophomore slump" except for the entire team. That, plus they are still young and undisciplined.

Colts 24-Lions 14!!!

Agreed. Plus the HC has the IQ of a houseplant.

You may be insulting houseplants here. They have the talent, they will probably get it together in a year or two despite their coach, because they will get tired of losing. Maybe, anyway.

This team is going to rock now that they are not in the playoffs

Haven't the Lions had a somewhat dubious history of having oft-injured RB's? That's probably why Barry Sanders retired when he did because he was relatively healthy and wanted to make sure he stayed that way.

The team is undisciplined because the HC is undisciplined. But Leshoure has been the one guy that gave them a shot at running the ball effectively. Getting him back is a big deal for them.

Now if they can just curb the penalties and general stupidity they might have a shot at generating some positive headlines for a change.
