Senators GM Bryan Murray is ready to wheel and deal. Now all he needs is a dance partner... "I thought I had one or two deals done last week. I had some real good conversations with some (player's) names in place and some real strong talk," said Murray. "Then a day later, the names kind of changed, the deals kind of floundered and then just didn't happen." It's believed Murray may have been close dealing for the elusive top-six forward he has been looking to add all season."

Always exciting when the trade deadline starts approaching. I don't know who the Sens are looking to pick up (Marleau?), but it might end up having to be a rental player, based on the money they have locked up in a bunch of their players next season already. Curious, curious, curious. I hope there's a couple blockbusters this year, I love that stuff

Haha. They lost 5-3 to the florida panthers last night that was lame.

Look for a trade to make the Sens more competitive with Detroits for the playoffs maybe!!!

They need depth on defense and a top six forward with Heater gone for awhile.

they have money to spend on a rental, thanks to the IR rules that allow teams to not count players' salaries to count towards the Cap while they are on the IR. Maybe they'll get Comrie back from the Isles...

Since the maple leafs seem to be on a shake up... how about mats sundin in the senators lineup?? still got some good game in him at 36, with good wingers he can be even better!

there is no way the Sens and Leafs will make a deal. They won't even call each other to try it out...you'll never see the Oilers and Flames make a trade, and you'll never see the Sens and Leafs do it either

It is the Cardinal Sin in all sports to trade within your division.
