03:02 PM ET 11.29 | The Green Bay Packers will be without running back Cedric Benson for the remainder of the season, according to a tweet from the team's official feed. He had surgery on Wednesday to help repair a Lisfranc injury he suffered during the team's game against the Colts on Oct. 7th, ending any chance of a return during the 2012 season. Benson was placed in injured reserve shortly afterward originally suffering the injury, but had the opportunity to come off IR if the injury healed in time. However, his injury did not heal as well as the team had hoped, and he had to be shut down for the season.

Packers can get by without Benson. They can get by without Jennings. They cannot get by without Woodson and Matthews.
