03:38 PM ET 11.29 | Many have speculated exactly what Amar'e Stoudemire's role would be when he returns from injury. Those same people are already prepared to make Stoudemire a scapegoat if the Knicks falter when he comes back. However, whether he's been listening to public opinion or not, Stoudemire at least says he's willing to accept a bench role.

"Amar'e Stoudemire would accept a bench role"............

AS LONG AS THEY ARE WINNING.

As soon as they start losing, he will be first in line to blame the coaching staff that the reason they are losing is because he isn't starting

Every player(even the scrubs) feel like they have the ability to change the team's fortune so it's natural for STAT to feel that way. However we are jumping the gun here. Amare is not even running at this time. There's no telling if he'll even be healthy enough to be an effective player let alone come off the bench or start. Last I checked he's pushed back the time table from mid December to Christmas day. It's clear there's problems with his overall health and durability. His back, both knees and eyes have all been under the knife.

Knicks need to prepare like STAT's not coming back. That's more realistic than the wishful thinking and drama the media's trying to create...
