05:14 PM ET 11.29 | Rajon Rondo probably got off lightly for instigating a fight between the Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics on Wednesday night. Rondo has been suspended for two games for shoving Kris Humphries back into the stands following Humphries' hard foul on Kevin Garnett. That means that he will miss the Celtics' back-to-back set on Friday and Saturday against the Portland Trail Blazers and Milwaukee Bucks.

Yup.....

SD and I were chopping this one up earlier.

If Rondo's brains ever catch up to his talent he could be a top PG for many, many years, but I'm not sure if he'll ever mature.

He has worked so hard on the weaker parts of his game..........

He forgot to work on being mature enough not to hurt his team..

And that is what he has done....

He got so caught up in the idea of being the team leader that he actually forgot how to act like one.

Reggie Evans likened Rondo to an annoying bug. Rondo is eight inches shorter and 50 pounds lighter than Humphries.

"That's just like a mosquito in your face. Eventually, you are going to swat at the mosquito, right???? Evans told reporters. ???You aren't going to let mosquitos in your face. You are going to get bumps all over your face. So you have to knock the mosquito down."

Too funny

That sounds like he was talking about a summer camping trip.

Seriously Mick?

In the heat of competition, there isn't a soul on this forum that wouldn't have had a similar if not the same reaction to watching a teammate get knocked off his feet. It's easy to say, from the comfort of our armchairs and in retrospect that "he should have done this or that", but in the heat of the moment things often look very different. I think we can agree on that.

Jared Allen lays a guy out and ends his season... Is anyone questioning his maturity as a leader on his team? Chris Paul gets upset at Pau Gasol over an imagined slight... Does anyone question his reasoning or maturity?

November 30, 2012  03:58 AM ET

People (myself included) have often dogged Rondo because of a reputation we can't possibly confirm or deny. In spite of that and regardless of whether I think the suspension was justified (I don't), the simple truth is "athletes react"... They're paid to... For better or worse.

Seriously....How did Rondo help his team by getting a two game suspension.

As far as this statement goes......In the heat of competition, there isn't a soul on this forum that wouldn't have had a similar if not the same reaction to watching a teammate get knocked off his feet..... Why did'nt every member of both teams join in the fight ????

Tha statement makes no sense........
