Report: Tim Tebow 'highly doubtful' against Cardinals

08:45 AM ET 12.01 | Tim Tebow barely has had an effect on the Jets' offense all season long, but this week he'll likely manage to be even more of a nonfactor. A source told the Daily News it was highly doubtful that Tebow, recovering from fractured ribs, would be active for Sunday's game against the Cardinals. Though likely, Tebow's deactivation has not been finalized. Tebow fractured his ribs against the Seahawks in Week 10, then played sparingly against the Rams before sitting out the embarrassing Thanksgiving night loss to the Patriots while active. Despite reports that Tebow won't suit up, Rex Ryan refused to rule out the possibility he would be available. Tebow is officially listed as questionable.

As much as I am in favor of the Jets comedy, I think Ryan needs to get beat upside the head. Either play Tebow or cut him. He can't do worse than Sanchez.

I don't necessarily let Sanchez off the hook, but what exactly was he expected to do with these receivers? More of this falls on Rex and Tannenbaum IMO.

The Jets could end this whole train wreck by playing Tebow for the rest of the year, explaining to Sanchez why and then letting him flail in front of all the Jets fans and the rest of the sports world. It would then be over..for good.
