Pac-12 fumbles TV network

09:41 AM ET 12.01 | For all the refreshing intrigue that surrounded the Pac-12 Conference football season, Commissioner Larry Scott has to acknowledge one thing: From a television standpoint, it was a dismal failure. And since the conference's every step revolves around television, that's inexcusable. It seemed a minor annoyance in October when the Pac-12 Network wasn't available on DirecTV, the most popular and influential satellite service and easily the No. 1 choice among sports fans. But to go an entire season denying pockets of college-football fans an enjoyable weekend? Comcast cable subscribers had access to the Pac-12 Network from the beginning, but dedicated football fans have always preferred DirecTV because of its exclusive rights to the NFL Sunday Ticket. We've reached an era in which everything should be televised and readily available, no matter which service you've enlisted - and that's where the Pac-12 fell badly short. Scott spent the season lamenting DirecTV's blase attitude during the negotiations (which apparently stopped cold about a month ago), and he's undoubtedly correct.

It really doesn't matter, as most fans on the East Coast and the South, don't watch 12 PAC football!!! Good game last night between Stanford and UCLA!!!

Who recovered it? Is it under further review? What was the call on the field?
12-0 deal with it…

Lame station. Very few providers carried the network out West. But the Big 10 Network made it into our homes weekly...maybe the Commish can use their blue print on how to actually make the network available rather than spending the season, unsuccessfully trying to gouge the consumer...
