09:58 AM ET 12.01 | When Kenny Phillips first hurt his right MCL nine weeks ago, he never imagined it would still be a problem. But it is, he said, because "when we started our rehab we didn't go about it the right way." The Giants' safety wouldn't get into specifics, nor did he blame anyone, but he was clearly unhappy about the way his injury has been handled since he first got hurt in a Week 4 game in Philadelphia. He missed the next seven weeks before returning Sunday night against Green Bay. Then he hurt his knee again.

Maybe he shouldn't have gone to Betty Ford.
Canuck eh?

He has been an injury waiting to happen since day one. Good player who just cannot stay on the field.

This is a significant loss for the Giants. Phillips is a good run-stopping safety, and that's what they need this week against RGIII. But he came out of college with suspect knees (arthritis) and it has kept him out a lot.

The loss of Terrell Thomas hurt them once again. Add in Phillips missing and Hosley better learn fast. I give Amukamara credit, he looks better from where I am.

I can understand how Phillips would feel frustrated at yet another injury, especially when he was playing pretty well this year. Maybe Stevie Brown will bring a little of his magic to the game tomorrow. And yes, Amukamara is looking pretty good - improving on coverage and tackling each game. I still think it is going to be a nail biter against RGIII.
