11:02 AM ET 12.01 | Robbie Keane did his best to dispel any notion that he'd be looking to leave North America anytime soon in a press conference ahead of Saturday's MLS Cup. Keane has been a major hit during his time in Los Angeles, so much so that his future in MLS has been called into question a number of times, with moves back to Europe mooted. But the Irishman plans to stay for the foreseeable future. The Irish striker hasn't always spoken so definitively about his MLS future. Following a successful loan spell with Aston Villa last winter, Keane set off alarms in Southern California with his comments to The Daily Mirror. "I enjoyed my spell at Villa," Keane said. "It's a great club, but it was my choice to go to the States. I could have stayed in the Premier League for a few more years but I didn't. When I go back to LA it could be completely different," he continued. "People have seen over the years with the clubs I've been at how quickly I leave if I don't fit in."
