10:10 AM ET 12.02 | Barrett Jones stood on stage with the rest of his Alabama teammates as confetti fell from the Georgia Dome ceiling. The Crimson Tide center, though, needed the support of crutches to get through the post-game ceremony because of an injured left foot. He sustained the injury during the first quarter, but played through the pain all the way to the end of Alabama's 32-28 SEC Championship victory over Georgia. Other than leaving for the locker room one play early at the end of the second quarter, he was largely unaffected. "I knew my teammates needed me," Jones said. "It never crossed my mind to come out."

The kid's built a solid college career by being a selfless gamer - don't matter where they play him.

The game is set. Notre Dame vs Alabama for all the marbles. It took 36 years and hundreds of hours of watching college football but for the 1st time in my life I'm pulling for Alabama.

Yeah, it should be a good game. I really enjoyed the Bama/Georgia game yesterday. I really didn't agree with Richt's coaching at the end of the game, but I'm not going to take anything away from Bama, they won the SEC CG and deserve to play in the NCG!!!

Aaron Murray impressed me and not just by his ability to shake off that big hit he took. The way he played against UF, I thought he would have a zillion turnovers versus Bama, but he played a good game.

ND vs Bama promises the following, mega hype leading up to the game, high-priced ads, and big ratings for the first half (second half ratings will depend upon the action in the first).

Regardless of the BCS championship... as a fan of the sport - that game yesterday was why college football is still special.
Truly a great game..

We sometimes forget that for every "screw-up" on a CFB team, there are many more great young men who are worthy of the acclimation heaped on them by the fans and media. Barrett Jones is one of the good ones.

I thought both teams played their hearts out. Of course I wish it had ended differently but I thought it was an epic game.

That was a great game last night. I got a kick out of the media weasel in the post-game press conference with Richt. "Some people are saying... umm no I'm not saying it... I'm hearing it every day though, that you and Aaron Murray always come up short in big games. No, I'm not saying it... there are people that might be saying it..."
Dude, if you're going to ask a question, grow a spine and ask it.

Will a lot of the starters for UGA return next season? If so, the near future is VERY bright for the Bulldogs.
