11:03 AM ET 12.02 | After wrestling with how to properly acknowledge a player who killed the mother of his infant daughter then killed himself on Saturday, the Chiefs have decided to conduct a moment of silence on Sunday for all victims of domestic violence. According to Randy Moss of NFL Network, the Chiefs also will keep linebacker Jovan Belcher's locker intact, at least for now.

This seems appropriate. I'm glad they're not having one for the guy who murdered his girlfriend and orphaned their infant daughter.

It is more a moment of embarrassment than anything else. Not knowing what to say. They'll have no trouble putting this one behind them

Even though there is no doubt about the crime, the murderer or the victim, there will still be an investigation. The contents of the locker are evidence in that investigation. There's probably nothing there, but you never know.

If I were to hazard a guess... The team captains probably requested it.
I seriously doubt they will have a patch or decal. That would be a bit overt based on the circumstances.

So - you don't think that took place yesterday...while they were next to the stadium... At the crime scene?
Seems to be a logical step in the process to me... but maybe I watch too much "The First 48".

I'm quite sure they resent having to acknowlede this incident at all. Did he play for us? It is more of a gee, I wish this guy played for someone else's organization ceremony
