08:11 AM ET 12.03 | It appears Kevin Youkilis has more than one suitor. One baseball source identified the White Sox and Philadelphia Phillies as the two most aggressive teams this offseason in pursuit of a third baseman. Both are on hot on the trail of [Youkilis], who is without question the class of a thin crop of free agents available at the hot corner. General manager Rick Hahn made it clear early last month: he wants Youkilis back and has pursued him accordingly. Meanwhile, other potential suitors -- a group that includes the Atlanta Braves, Cincinnati Reds, Oakland A's and Baltimore Orioles -- all seem to have solved their vacancies internally, the source said. ... [The] White Sox sound as if they are prepared for his possible departure.

I think you're betting against the odds if you think this guy is gonna bounce back.

No kidding. He's been on and off the DL, and when healthy hasn't hit much the last two years. That sort of thing doesn't improve for 34 year old ball players.

youkilis proved to the white sox to have the right tools in the hot corner,,,,

Youk has one more good year left in him. One more. A team that needs a 3B to play 130 games this season should sign him.Atlanta. Philly. Cincy. Seattle. LA Dodgers. They all make sense.

and don't forget the YANKEES,,,,

wiseup cincinnati doesn't need a third baseman, unless they use him off the bench. Probably too expensive for a bat off the bench. The reds need a LF and a leadoff man. Boston doesn't want him?

HE WOULD NEVER FILL THE SHOES OF AROD....OR BE FIT AND GROOMED TO BE A MODEL BASEBALL PLAYER LIKE ALL OUR BELOVED YANKEES. NOOOOO FACIAL HAIR FOR ONE!

I bet he'd be your new best bud in pinstripes before long.
