08:12 AM ET 12.03 | With the matter of a corner outfielder theoretically solved in Torii Hunter, the Tigers can turn to the next item on their offseason to-do list. Shortstop, for starters. It's doubtful anyone in the Tigers' front office would argue exhaustively that Jhonny Peralta is the Tiger Most Likely To Be Traded, either during these four-day meetings at the Opryland Hotel, or between now and spring camp's ribbon-snipping ceremonies in February at Lakeland, Fla. Of course, no Tigers official can say as much, mostly because Peralta is the fallback shortstop in the unlikely event he isn't traded ahead of Opening Day. But the Tigers would love to upgrade their infield defense, and for obvious reasons. Too many missed ground balls were the big culprit last season.

i thought paul janish has been in their roster didn't he???or he was with the jays??

wiseup: Janish was with the Braves Unless they traded him late. Janish was at triple aaa in Loisville. The reds traded Janish to Braves for Redmond. Janish was very good defensively,but only a .220--.210 hitter. He does have a knack at times to come up a clutch at times when you least expect it

With Super prospect Nick Castellano's (sp?) waiting in the wings, It's obvious he wasn't going to get in the majors anytime soon @ 3rd Base with Cabrera, but I can't figure out why they are trying to move him to right field instead of giving him some work at Short Stop
