Mariners looking at Hamilton, Upton, Napoli, Swisher ...

They can have an interest in anybody they want but signing somebody is a different animal all together. Those that may sign there are usually the guys with too few options.

Soriano had a good year. I'd take him as a DH as long as the Cubs pick up a chunk of his contract.

Since the M's are going to move the outfield fences in, they are looking for some power hitters.

there is plenty free agents,, who is interested other than mariners?? the team could be in the 2 spot on their division,,,,,

without a deffensive catcher/without a solid rotation/without a solid closer/ the team may bew looking in the rebuiilding mode/the angels farm system is the worse farm system from any other team,,,,,, halos lack alot all over around,,,,

Soriano has 10/5 veto rights that he used last year to veto a trade to the Dodgers. He has said he might consider a trade to a contender this year, but he doesn't want to be a DH. I think that rules out Seattle, although he would help them.

I think this year they are looking at what is available, but maybe not quite ready to add a big piece. It sounds like they are window shopping to me.

the dodgers wouldn't take soriano's contract,,,the mariners shouldn't trade anything for soriano is not worthed,,,,

The Red Sox won't be carrying 4 catchers that's for sure. I would suspect that they'll be making Salty available for a trade.

and yankees are desperately for a conssistent catcher injury free if you know what i mean,,,,

Mariners need two bats. Then, it might take some of the pressure off guys such as Montero and Smoak and let them improve and develop without having to carry the team.

But, that's easier said than done.

I can see the M's adding Hamilton, because they have to improve their offense. They have Felix and some young pitching, but that offense needs help. Hamilton would make everyone better.

They still need some other guys. Solid, professional hitters. Swisher fits that bill. Maybe LaRoche. Maybe Ross.

They need to stay away from guys such as Reynolds. All Ks all day.

don't forget mark reynolds availability,, who knows?? he may come handy for the streaky mariners,,,
